It's About Who's on Top

As I read this quote I had to wonder, "Am I on top?" Do I possess the skills necessary to become a wildly successful professional? TRUTHFULLY? No, I do not. Yes, I may be a graduate from an accredited institution, with a Bachelors degree, but at this point I have to wonder: Will the coursework I studied throughout college take me where I need to go...  

Don't get me wrong, my degree in Social Science was not a waste of time. In fact, it taught me a thing or two about human psychology. But in a technological savvy world, will even have to understand the very dynamic of a one-on-one conversation? The internet has changed the way we do business in a very BIG way. Which inevitably makes me wonder: Will simple business practices such as cold-calling become completely absolved within the next few years?


In today's world, it is becoming more likely for a business to conduct their business on the internet.

Even something as simple as Pinterest, (a virtual Pinboard that allows you to share images from all over the web) is now becoming an avenue in which companies can expose their brand. 

Groupon and Living Social, are becoming avenues in which the technologically savvy can purchase deals right from their Iphone. 


Facebook pages are set up with the hopes of gaining "Likes"....


But where do we stand?
Where do small businesses stand? 
Where do those who are not familiar with internet business practices stand? 


Well, we simply stand uneducated...

We need to familiarize ourselves with the internet!
We need to LEARN HTML code. 
We need to learn how to build a website.
We need to learn how to make a professional profile on Linked In or BranchOut. 
We need to learn how to become an ambassador of our OWN brand. 

I started this blog with a mission to become more aware; to educate myself on how to land the job of my dreams in an ever-changing world and society.
